Technology moves the world and leads it to explore territories hardly imagined in the past. Undoubtedly, the implementation of this type of solutions has improved the productivity of companies, airport security, and connected the world at an extraordinary level, but there is still more to discover.
Azul Linhas Aereas has begun using virtual reality goggles to train new pilots eager to join operations in the region. This training is specifically focused on the Cessna Grand Caravan.
The company that has made this breakthrough possible is Plan XP, a specialist in the implementation of technologies for the transformation of industries. The augmented reality glasses are connected to sensors that perceive the movement of the pilots, allowing them to train their skills.
On average, each new pilot adds 20 hours of virtual training to their resume and after that, they are ready to fly a Cessna Grand Caravan.
Is this the future of aviation? That remains to be seen but Azul has already made his bet.
