United Airlines Expands Horizons: Direct Flights to Tulum Set to Soar

In an exciting development, United Airlines revealed its plans to launch non-stop flights between the United States and the new Tulum International Airport in Mexico. Commencing on March 31, 2024, the airline will operate 22 weekly flights from Newark/New Jersey, Houston, and Chicago. Furthermore, starting May 23, a daily seasonal service from Los Angeles will be added, bringing the total to up to five daily flights from the airline's hub cities next summer.

"Tulum tops many travel lists – with its expansive beaches, diverse culinary scene, and a region boasting rich history and breathtaking natural beauty," highlighted Patrick Quayle, United's Senior Vice President of Network and Alliances. "Our new direct flights make it easier than ever for people to get there quickly."

This winter, United Airlines will solidify its position as the predominant carrier between the U.S. and the Riviera Maya, offering over 200 weekly flights from eight American cities to Cancun during the winter peak. The airline will continue to serve routes between Cozumel and Chicago, Denver, and Houston, with operations reaching up to 11 flights per week. United's expansion to Tulum reflects its commitment to providing enhanced connectivity and convenience for travelers exploring this coveted destination.
