Transall a powerful European aircraft manufacturer

Transall is the result of the union of important companies such as Nord Aviation from France, Weser Flugzeugbau and Hamburger Flugzeugbau from Germany, an alliance that took place during the 1950s.

This Franco-German cooperation has provided great contributions to the industry, including the C-160, which had its first flight on February 25, 1959 and was presented in 1967. Transall became a great ally for nations during different periods related to European militarization.

Some of the companies that have supported Transall over time include big names like Airbus. To date, 214 C-160s, manufactured by Transall between 1965 and 1985, have been included in the defense forces of countries such as France, Germany, Turkey and South Africa, although some units have been deployed for use in civil space such as the case of the French Postal Service.
