NetJets, the world's largest private jet operator, has signed a new deal with Brazilian aircraft manufacturer, Embraer, for up to 250 Praetor 500 planes. The agreement also includes a comprehensive service and support deal worth more than $5 billion. Deliveries of the Praetor 500 aircraft are expected to begin in 2025. This marks the first time that NetJets will offer the Praetor 500 to its clients, as the company currently operates the Phenom 300 series.
Embraer and NetJets began their partnership in 2010, when NetJets first signed a purchase agreement for 50 Phenom 300 planes, with up to 75 additional options. In 2021, after Embraer successfully delivered over 100 planes, the companies signed a continuation agreement for up to 100 additional Phenom 300/E planes, worth over $1.2 billion.
With this new deal, NetJets demonstrates not only its commitment to enhancing the customer experience, as the company is currently operating over 1,200 flights daily worldwide, but also its confidence in Embraer's portfolio and support to provide the best experience for NetJets' clients.
"Since 2010, Embraer has enjoyed NetJets' ongoing commitment to our leading aircraft, which is a true testament to the value of our brand and our ability to deliver the ultimate executive aviation experience," said Michael Amalfitano, President and CEO of Embraer Executive Jets.
"We are eager to add the Embraer Praetor 500, one of the most advanced business jets available today, to our midsize fleet," said Doug Henneberry, Executive Vice President of Aircraft Asset Management for NetJets.
The Praetor 500 is the most innovative and technologically advanced midsize business jet in the world, with impressive range, best-in-class speed, and unparalleled takeoff and landing performance. It is also the only aircraft in its category with fully electronic flight controls, making it a popular choice for private jet travel.
