Delta Air Lines has been mentioned on more than one occasion for the increase in the cost of its tickets and although this announcement was not entirely well received, it seems that part of the strategy behind it has a good reason.
There are reports that confirm that the airline has decided to increase the salaries of more than 70,000 workers with up to 4%, this applied globally.
The impact of this benefit for its employees will come into force as of May 1st, although there is a part of its workforce that will not be able to access this benefit. This is the case of pilots, since they have their own labor fees agreed with the union.
It also does not apply to some senior executive positions.
The airline commented that the increase is the result of the commitment and good work of its employees globally.
