Manufacturer Gulfstream recently celebrated the delivery of the 500th aircraft in its award-winning G650 and G650ER (extended radius) family to an undisclosed customer. The delivery was made at the manufacturer's facilities at the Appleton International Airport, in the state of Wisconsin, United States.
According to Gulfstream, the G650 family has managed to break records more than 120 times in different modalities, such as speed between cities, around the world in the polar circle and many others.
The family of these models has the capacity to transport 19 passengers, with Internet connectivity options, improved cabin pressurization and state-of-the-art technology. They are powered by two Rolls-Royce BR725 engines and are capable of flying up to 7,000 nautical miles (NM), and can reach speeds of up to Mach 0.925 with a maximum service ceiling of 51,000 feet altitude.
Almost 13 years ago, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), in the United States, certified the model as well as the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA). The G650ER variant was certified two years later.
