Expanding Electric Transport Services in Fort Lauderdale, Palm Beach and the Caribbean with Surf Air

Electric seaplane company Regent has announced a partnership with Surf Air Mobility to establish a base of operations in Miami, USA. Together, they will provide passenger transport services for South Florida, including routes from Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Palm Beach, and the Caribbean islands, potentially launching by 2027.

This collaboration builds upon Regent's existing business relationship with Southern Airways, a subsidiary of Surf Air. The electric seaplane operations in Miami are estimated to serve up to 1.5 million passengers annually, connecting travelers between coastal destinations and major transportation hubs, including Miami International Airport and PortMiami.

Surf Air aims to leverage its existing passenger base, operators, and business connections to become the driving force behind this seaplane initiative.

"We believe that Regent's electric seaplanes can unlock new routes along Florida's coastal corridors, complementing our existing service networks and furthering our commitment to operate an electrified fleet," remarked Stan Little, CEO of Surf Air Mobility.

Electric seaplanes offer an alternative mode of travel, combining the speed of airplanes with the convenience of boats. They are designed to serve coastal and island communities, as they can operate over water and utilize existing dock infrastructure to transport people and goods.

The partnership between Regent and Surf Air Mobility promises to bring innovative, eco-friendly transport solutions to South Florida and the Caribbean, transforming the way passengers experience travel in the region.
