Air Canada follows United and will buy 30 electric planes

Air Canada will buy 30 electric aircraft model ES-30 from the Swedish company Heart Aerospace, to face climate change, as it did in 2021 United. These aircraft have a flight capacity of up to 200 kilometers.

Likewise, the airline obtained a US$5 million shareholding in Heart Aerospace. Michael Rousseau, CEO of Air Canada, said, “Air Canada has taken a leadership position in the industry to address climate change. The introduction of Heart Aerospace's ES-30 electric regional aircraft to our fleet will be a step forward towards our goal of net-zero emissions by 2050."
